Extensive work in Northland from 1997 -2000 with the Northland Conservancy, Department of Conservation feral goat and wild deer control programmes have been very successful. Targets for control have been set and consistently achieved by the team, which included exclusive use of Skywork Helicopter services.
The company has also undertaken goat eradication work for Carter Holt Harvey and Juken New Zealand Ltd forests in Northern Rodney and in the King Country.
Skywork pilots with their experience in agriculture operations and knowledge of the terrain in which they work in are well suited to the precision flying required when undertaking aerial shooting work. They have proven commitment to safety and it is a requirement that all Skywork personnel and other people associated with a shooting operation are experienced and have undertaken a Skywork Safety Around Helicopters course or refresher course prior to any operations.
